Preserve Arkansas, in partnership with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, will hold its next“Mid Mod Arkansas” tour in Huntsville on Saturday, May 21, 2022. The tour series seeks to increase appreciation for Arkansas’s unique Mid-Century Modern architecture. All three properties on this year’s tour were designed by famed Arkansas architect Fay Jones.

Reminder for everyone who registered to attend::The guided tour will begin at 1:00 PM sharp in front of the Madison County Record Building at 113 Court Street in downtown Huntsville. Please be sure to arrive early. Parking is available behind the Madison County Courthouse. The tour group will caravan to Camp Noark Girl Scout Camp and then to the Faubus House. Parking for the Faubus House tour will be available at the Huntsville First Baptist Church at 803 Governor Road. Refreshments will be served at the Faubus House. Masks are required inside the Faubus House, and you will be required to remove your shoes or use protective booties. Masks and booties will be provided on-site. This event will take place rain or shine, so please plan to check the weather and dress accordingly. There will be an opportunity to tour the area below the bluff at the Faubus House, so closed toe shoes are recommended if you plan to go below the bluff.
