AIA Arkansas Sets Annual Convention For October at State House Convention Center
The Arkansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects will hold its annual State Convention on Oct. 16-19 at the State House Convention Center in Little Rock, featuring a diverse, accomplished list of speakers along with informative seminars addressing a range of topics.
The AIA Arkansas Annual Convention brings architects, educators, material suppliers, manufacturers and other design professionals and support staff together to explore the industry’s best practices and emerging technologies, techniques and materials. It is an engaging, thought-provoking two-and-a-half-day event offering multiple ways to network with others in the industry.
The theme this year is “ReInvented ReImagined ReDesigned.” Topics range from building codes to building comfort and historic renovation to modern innovation. With more than 25 hours of continuing education, architects can receive 14 CEs, fulfilling all state license renewal requirements.
Attendees can also visit with more than 100 vendors in the Expo Hall presenting the latest technology, application, product and service information for architects and other design and construction industry leaders to implement in current and future projects. ImageWorks is the title sponsor and Curtis Stout is the AV sponsor.
The AIA Design Awards will be presented at a Friday evening banquet on Oct. 18. The annual golf tournament and Bikitecture tour will be held on Oct. 16. Learning Lounges on the tradeshow floor will focus on product presentations. More than 350 architects and 100 Allied members are expected to be in attendance.
