If you are a licensed architect in Florida, please be aware that the Florida Architectural license renewal dates have been changed. The continuing education requirement deadline has changed for the February 28, 2015 license renewal. All continuing education credits must be obtained no later than December 31, 2014. The renewal cycle for continuing education credits includes any continuing education hours obtained from March 1, 2013 through December 31, 2014. Architects licensed in Florida then have until February 28, 2015 to renew their license. Previously, the renewal deadline and continuing education deadline were both February 28 of odd numbered years.
Along with the change in the continuing education deadline, Florida architects are also required to earn two continuing education hours of Advanced Florida Building Code Courses. AIA Florida has four of these Florida-specific courses available online and by DVD. Online courses can be completed until 11:59pm on December 31, 2014. DVD Courses must be ordered no later than December 22, 2014.
You may purchase an Advanced Florida Building Code Course online here and you may purchase the same courses on DVD here.
