This webinar on May 17, 2022, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET, offered by the AIA Trust will center around the events that occurred before and after the collapse of the Champlain Towers in Florida. While the official review and forensic report is still ongoing and has not been published yet, the webinar will look at possible causes of the collapse that can be clearly seen by an examination of public documents that are available on the Surfside website.
What do architects as professionals anticipate will be the impacts to the building industry from a legal, professional, and public perspective? How do architects foresee this tragedy affecting current and future operations – and what lessons can be learned both personally and professionally?
