Project Statement
The First Security Technology Center in Searcy, AR, was designed as the central hub for the bank’s technology operations. The new facility supports the institution’s evolving operational and training needs. This includes a large seminar room and a dedicated training room, ensuring employees have the resources and environment necessary for professional development.
One of the client’s primary goals was to create a building that not only meets the technological and operational needs of the bank but also fits seamlessly into the character and aesthetic of downtown Searcy. While the exterior was designed to complement its surroundings, the interior was developed with a strong emphasis on modern technology and functionality. Given the importance of protecting the bank’s data and IT infrastructure, a portion of the building was designed as a hardened, storm-resistant area. This reinforced space houses the bank’s primary servers and is directly connected to an adjacent storm-protected generator enclosure, which was designed to complement the building’s exterior. This ensures continuous operation in the event of severe weather or a power grid failure, adding an extra layer of security and reliability.
Beyond its functional and protective elements, the building also incorporates design details that enhance the overall user experience. Many of the meeting spaces feature custom ceilings with integrated lighting, creating a visually appealing and well-lit environment. A central open ornamental staircase serves as a key architectural feature, providing both a practical connection between floors and a welcoming focal point within the space. Common gathering areas and break rooms are strategically placed throughout the building, fostering collaboration and interaction among employees. The result is a facility that not only supports the bank’s technological and operational needs but also creates a comfortable and engaging workspace for its staff.
