Sevier County Medical Center

Located in a wooded area north of De Queen, Arkansas, Sevier County Medical Center is a 42,440sf critical access hospital. The facility is designed to serve the community and provide innovative healthcare in south-west Arkansas’ most rural communities. This facility provides a hospitality-style design approach to patient care utilizing modern materials, decorative exterior sunshades, privacy screening and custom fixtures to provide high-quality patient experience in a healing environment.

Project Statement

Sevier County Medical Center is designed to handle most major medical emergencies with 10 emergency room beds, 2 procedure rooms, lab, pharmacy, 8 inpatient beds, 6 rehab beds, an outpatient clinic, a radiology suite with MRI, CT Scan, X-Ray, mammography and ultrasound. The medical center also has a physical therapy clinic, emergency medical air-evacuation Heli-pad, 5 overnight physician dorms and patient and staff dining area. The facility was designed with a centralized nurses station in each patient care area to promote staff efficiency and minimize distances between frequently used spaces.
