This project began as a simple print shop addition to a corporate headquarters. After a major ice storm event, it quickly became apparent that a total modernization of their facility was required to accommodate a crisis situation.
Due to the vital role this company plays in Northwest Arkansas, all work was required to be performed with the facility remaining fully functional around the clock.
KSA Architecture created a four phase construction program that was implemented over seven years. These phases included a new warehouse, renovation of an existing warehouse and service area, a multi-story administrative addition and finally the complete renovation of the existing building. The design solution incorporated circular and curvilinear elements to seamlessly merge existing and new.
Near the end of construction, the building envelope was pressure tested to allow the design team to fine tune all systems for maximum efficiency. Building automation controls LED lighting, geothermal heating and cooling as well as total campus security.
The finished project provides the client with a facility that will effectively and efficiently serve the community for many years.
