AIA Arkansas Mission Statement

The mission of AIA Arkansas is to organize and unite in fellowship the architects of the State of Arkansas; to combine their efforts so as to promote the aesthetic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profession; to advance the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural education, training and practice; to coordinate the building industry and the profession of architecture to insure the advancement of the living standards of our people through their improved environment; and to make the profession of ever increasing service to society.

Members display “AIA” after their name. “AIA” communicates professionalism to clients and colleagues. The AIA is recognized by public audiences, which gives members the competitive advantage. It shows a commitment to the highest professional standards and practices.
Continuing Education Programs to help meet State Licensure and AIA requirements and expand the architectural knowledge base as changes in the profession occur.

Health insurance is available to members through an AIA group plan.
A fully staffed office with responsibility to facilitate the flow of information to the membership and all AIA Arkansas activities. The staff answers all questions from the membership and facilitates the member’s participation in AIA.
Representation on AIA/AGC Committee and AIA/ACEC Committee. Each committee works with its counterpart group to further the common goals of architects, engineers, and contractors.
