2014 State Convention Bikitecture Tour

The AIA Arkansas Bikitecture Tour continues this year as we explore Hot Springs. Join your fellow professionals and allied members for this year’s bicycle tour that will take us on and off the beaten path through some new areas and some old favorites. We will see many of the unique sites and geography that give Hot Springs its original character and highlight some of the places that played a role in Hot Springs history and lore. You will also ride the city’s new and growing bicycle trail system, the new Historic Baseball Trail, and a visit other scenic and historic sites through Hot Springs National Park. Make arrangements to pack your wheels for this year’s event.
We will start at the Farmer’s Market pavilion at 11:30 and meet the golfers at the country club at 12:00 and have a snack/drink. We ask that everyone show up having already eaten lunch.
The route will be approximately 21.6 miles with a bailout point around mile 16 if you do no want to make the climb up to the tower. We will have “aid stations” along the route with coolers of drinks and snacks, etc.
