| EPC: Emerging Professional's Companion |
| Looking for ways to earn IDP training units and enhance your intern experience?
We can help! The American Institute of Architects and NCARB are pleased to announce the release of the 2009 edition of the Emerging Professional's Companion (EPC). The EPC is a complete set of self-paced internship tools, updated for current practice. The new 2009 edition also offers improved navigation and expanded features.
Earn While You Learn Use the new EPC 2009 to satisfy a portion of your IDP training unit (TU) requirements. By successfully completing EPC application activities, you can earn up to 5 TUs toward the minimum requirements in each training area (up to 75 TUs total in EPC 2009). Please note that no more than 5 TUs may be earned in any IDP training area toward minimum TU requirements through any combination of EPC 2009 activities and/or other supplementary education options offered by NCARB.
You can also earn supplementary education TUs by successfully completing EPC 2009 practice exercises and additional application activities not claimed toward minimum required IDP training units. As always, your IDP supervisor must review and approve all work.
Access all the EPC content online right now, FREE. Take control of your internship and your career advancement at www.EPCompanion.org.
After completing activities and exercises, you can submit them directly to NCARB through the e-EVR under the tab, “My Supplementary Education.” You will be required to submit the report to your IDP supervisor for approval through the e-EVR, just as you currently do for all IDP experience.
